Born and raised in Long Island, New York, Kevin first fell in love with music listening to his mom and dad’s Doo-Wop records. Those records fueled a passion in him that would allow him to pursue a career in the recording industry. Throughout high school, Kevin was involved in all aspects of the music department. After graduation he moved to Florida to attend Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts. After graduating top of his class, Kevin secured an internship at Howard Schwartz Recording in NYC. Soon after, Kevin was hired and worked his way up to staff engineer.
At HSR/NY, Kevin engineered sessions from ADR for movies and TV, such as Lethal Weapon 3 and Sex in the City as well as Live radio broadcasts. He also built relationships with N.Y.’s top ad agencies working on many national campaigns such as Coca-Cola and American Express.

In 1994 an opportunity arose for Kevin to go to Lillihammer, Norway to be an audio post mixer at the Olympic Winter Games for CBS Sports.
After returning from Norway, Kevin was hired as the first audio engineer at Palestrini Post Production, now Blue Rock Editorial, for their new audio room.

When the situation presented itself in 1998 for Kevin to again work on the Olympic Winter Games, this time in Nagano, Japan, he took it. As senior audio post mixer, he was asked to pick his team and help design and build the audio post room. For his work, Kevin won a 1998 National Sports Emmy Award.
When he returned home to the states, Kevin continued to hone his creative skills. A client whom Kevin was working for on the local NY Emmy Award Winning animated children’s show “Generation Jets”, allowed him to find a niche for himself in the world of sound design.
He recorded, produced, sound designed and mixed not only “Generation Jets”, but many animated shorts for the Cleveland Browns stadium show.
Kevin then had the privilege of working as a staff engineer at Broadway Sound, the sister company to Broadway Video. While there, Kevin mixed numerous shows and promos where he acquired his 2nd Emmy Nomination.
Most recently, Kevin opened his own studio, KJO Audio Productions, Inc. Currently, he is mixing shows for Netflix, History Channel, HULU, Oxygen and Discovery Channel.
Kevin lives in Long Island, NY with his wife Christine and their Boston Terreir Shamrock.
